Product Description
Superlatives and the Back To The Future trilogy are rarely far apart. With good reason, too. Here’s as complete a science fiction trilogy that you’re ever likely to see, one unsullied by unnecessary extra sequels, and instead standing proud as a genuinely terrific trio of films. The highlight? You have to hand that to the first film, one of the most perfectly complete blockbuster movies of the past few decades. Brilliantly constructed and exceptionally executed, it’s exciting, funny, imaginative and stands up extremely well to repeated viewings. But then so do the second and third films in the Back To The Future trilogy, too. The second is arguably the most disjointed, but then it has the most narrative work to do. Picking up directly after the first movie, it covers a heck of a lot of ground, and, in spite of one or two problems, it’s nonetheless a compelling movie in its own right. The third, meanwhile, is an underrated delight, that tails the trilogy with exceptional style. Accompanying the films is a collection of extras that genuinely dig a bit deeper, and most notably include the infamous test footage of Eric Stoltz in the role of Marty McFly, before he was replaced by Michael J Fox five weeks into production. Crucially, though, the Back To The Future trilogy has never looked better. And bundled with a package of supplements that offer terrific added value, this is a must-buy Blu-ray collection. --Jon Foster

This is classic 80s trilogy.starring micheal J fox as Marty mac fly and christopher lyod as doctor brown “doc”.THE DOC Steals a nuclear element and use it to power his time machine which happen to be a car known as deloren.cool looking car. Anyway marty travels back in time to 1955 and so the fun begins and continues on in 2 and 3.Great proformances from the 2 main stars and the supporting cast. any fan of 80s movies this is a great buy.

Since owning a Blu-Ray player I’ve been astonished at the quality of the films, picture and sound and I would say that a film series that needs to be shown in full HD would have to be the Back to The Future trilogy. I’m really looking forward to this important release, to see the delorean go 88mph on the screen with HD visual and audio will be amazing. The other cool fact to note and I’m sure that this is not just a coincidence but the release date for the Blu-Ray trilogy is exactly 25 years to the day and month that Marty McFly travelled back to 1955, brilliant

I must say that this set of movies has been well anticpated in 1080 P for a while , but a word of warning to the wise.
These movies have not been re-masterd from any infromation I can gather heralding the re-release of these films , infact from what information is available the transfer will be from the same stock as the original box-set release some 5-6 years ago.
If anyone has upgraded to the blu-ray of War of the worlds , they will know picture quality is not really any better from the standard tranfer made to that DVD in 2005.
Though these films are good , it seems very likely that the “gift” extras given inside the metel tin in which these films are contained, will draw people in to buy this more for the picture quality of the Blu-ray.
Only time will tell on its release , but these films are now very old and the original negative will have been affected. with out restoration or re-mastering you will never the the detail you get with “Saving Private Ryan” which took a year to master and perfect to a finish fans deserve. The 1080 P treatment is worthy enough to buy this again.
I hope this set of classic films end up getting the same done to them and this is not a rushed re-release like so many others
Spend wisely !
