With Anthony Nicholls as Tremayne. Music is ‘Who Are You?’ : The Who, The James Bond Theme and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy:from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky. This video started out as part of ‘Champions Richard Barrett: Camp and Comic Moments’ & ‘Champions Craig Stirling: It’s My Life’ but the finished cut was so long I’ve cut it into 3 – this is the final section.

I actually agree with you; my Comment ‘of its time’ was merely thrown in to sound ‘polite’ as I have found over the years that people tend to say this, but I’m actually with on in this; to me, this Show is still the ‘tops’ even now! : – ) One of my very favourite TV Shows of all time! I quite agree that, in general, they don’t make shows anything like as well as they used to anymore.
I don’t really agree with your ‘of it’s time’ comment. I think that (on the whole) ‘The Champions’ still holds up very well today. It’s one of my favourite shows – hence all the videos I have made featuring Craig, Richard, Sharron and Tremayne.

This was a great TV Series of its time – and quite frankly, could not see what was so funny… Just somebody taking the ‘mick’. With stuff made today, you could do it without ‘selection’ and without having to use slow-motion for it to look either funny – or ‘over-the-top’ acting…
