   @MIESCHKI65 He won a talent show in 1971, last I heard he was selling insurance in Blackpool…..a few years ago. I did see him on TV briefly when he was about 35. Once he reached adolescence his voice broke and he couldn’t sing anymore.

   How nice for ‘mothers’ I wonder how old Neil Reid was when he sang this ? Its a pretty song.. his mother must have been proud and touched.

   I can still remember seeing him sing this on Opportunity Knocks, I think he still holds the record for the youngest person ever to have a album at no 1 in the UK charts, I remember my Mother loving the song ) Thanks for the trip back Steve,
