This next one shows what appears to be Bella holding her stomach…not sure about you, but im thinking this is from the scene in the trailer where shes in apparent pain…maybe bc shes with child? I’d like to think vampires do play chess, being as it is an old, intellectual game focusing on strategy. It would be an ideal or nearly ideal hobby to master, akin to mastering academics in your spare time. I choose to idealize my vampires as not consumed totally by their hunger, but only partially, and the idea of an intellectual master is very open to possibilities, where a dominating hunger creates all-too-similar characters with limited depth.
