I used to own the 1st 2 mummy movies on HDDVD and to be honest the blu-ray versions are on par with the HDDVD, they may not pull out as much detail as say The Dark Knight but the picture is still detailed, smooth and vibrant. There are quite a few extras on the Discs too, each movie comes on 1 disc and extras are on that same one disc, Sound seems to be limited to DTS on all movies, its possible there are other sound formats but as yet I havent found them.

The best of the 3 is the original mummy and each other getting worse as the trilogy goes on, thats not to say they are bad movies by any means. The 3rd in the trilogy suffers from the obvious cast change, Rachel Weisz is no longer in the mummy movies and is greatly missed, her replacement does a sterling job but the change is still too obvious.
The annoying kid from the mummy returns has grown up in the 3rd installment and has suddenly developed an american accent but even so the 3rd movie is ok to kill a couple of hours.

Now, what makes this collection stand out from the crowd is the 3rd movie absolutely oozes BD-Live extras (BD LIVE PLAYER IS REQUIRED), these come in the form of previews for other movies, a BD-live communtiy where you can send clips from the movie to friends on the PS3, im pretty sure you have to register online for this tho, a fast internet connection will be best for the movie previews as mine is quite slow it did cause the clips to stutter while buffering, even so, its nice to see a BD movie that actually takes advantage of BD-Live and does a good job of it, unlike IRON MAN!

All in all this box set is a fantastic buy, 1 fantastic movie, 2 pretty good movies and loads of BD LIVE extras on the Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.. oh and just incase anyone wanted to know, King Kong will be availible soon on blu ray (information found on the mummy 3 BD Live extras)

All three films are fantastic to sit with the whole family to watch. I thought that the third one would be difficult to watch as it was not related to the other two but the film aswell thought out and the action in it was fantastic. Even my father who is in his late 60′s sat and watched all three films and my father does not sit and watch films all the way through enjoyed them I would highly recomend these films.

The first two were great on DVD, now in Blue ray and Digital sound on my cinema system, the kids and the room jumps during the action sequences. Great, great entertainment!

comes in a tin the same size as a DVD box, which i think is really handy, much better than a bulky box set.

I bought this boxset for my younger 12 year old brother for xmas and it went down very well!! We watched all 3 films in the space of afew days. The 1st film is definately the best but the 2nd and 3rd are easy watching if you like abit of action and comedy!

This is a bargain set, containing all three of the Mummy DVDs in a really attractive tin. If you haven’t already bought any of the Mummy dvds, then this is definitely the cheapest way of doing it, and once you have watched one, you are going to want to buy the rest anyway.
I have found that cardboard box set can take a bit of a bashing, especially if they are popular with any children in the house – our Lord of the Rings trilogy box sets, for example, have taken a hammering. I know that tins can be damaged by children too, but they are much more likely to stay in good order and this one looks great. It’s convenient, too, to have all three dvds in one place.
If you have only watched the third Mummy film, do be aware that the earlier ones are scarier and less child-friendly, so if you have a youngish or sensitive child, do watch the first two yourself first to decide whether you think they are suitable.

I enjoyed the third film of the mummy, but it was not as good as the first two, which had more adventure in them.
