People are bitching about this movie too much keep in mind John Carpenter’s “The Thing” is a remake of “The thing From Another World” which both are based on a book called “Who Goes There?” and to be honest this movie seems a little closer to the book. If John Carpenter can give his take on the book why cant anyone else give their take aswell. This movie doesnt look too bad plus its rated-R and the director said he will use practical effects whenever possible.

The original thing is one of my all time favourite horrors ever, but the amount of gimps bitching about this should stfu whingeing its not like you will have to watch it. I reckon its this will be a great movie.

well, considering we get to see the last remnants of the Sweedish team here die in the opening minutes of the original, does it really matter all that much? they’re pretty much fucked as a given at this point.
