And this is probably their best album. That or flood, but flood didn’t quite harness the “quantity” power sphere as well as Apollo 18.

I just saw this video for the first time, nearly 20 years after the fact (well, I was born a year after the album’s release) and was immensely entertained and, um, educated. I could never choose a favorite TMBG album, but this one is spectacular. I nearly died at the “tonight is the nighttime” song…

I got Appollo 18 before I travelled litteraly across half of the country and it never got old. Ever… if only other things were that lasting and good.

This is one of my favourite albums from TMBG. I think that it’s tied with Lincoln and The Else for my favourite. I love “Fingertips” more than anything else on the album.

I have to agree.
There are some good songs on more recent albums, but the first few albums are pure gold.
To be fair, that’s pretty much the case with every band (with few exceptions).

Apollo 18, the last of their classic first four, non-full band albums (including the pink ST, Lincoln, Flood and this). Subsequent albums, even though still good, never really exceeded the early stuff.
