This is brilliant…I’d never seen it before. And I miss educational filmstrips. Even though I’m only 31, they still seemed to be used abundantly in school when I was growing up.

Also…I wish this would have been included on the “Gigantic” DVD.

Apollo 18, the last of their classic first four, non-full band albums (including the pink ST, Lincoln, Flood and this). Subsequent albums, even though still good, never really exceeded the early stuff.

I have to agree.

There are some good songs on more recent albums, but the first few albums are pure gold.

To be fair, that’s pretty much the case with every band (with few exceptions).

This is one of my favourite albums from TMBG. I think that it’s tied with Lincoln and The Else for my favourite. I love “Fingertips” more than anything else on the album.

I got Appollo 18 before I travelled litteraly across half of the country and it never got old. Ever… if only other things were that lasting and good.

I Palindrome I made me go a little crazy and I couldnt stop listening to it… otherwise this was the best album I ever heard in mah life

This was the only album I ever played in the summer of 2007. I listened to it every day!

First TMBG album I ever personally owned. I remember having to tell friends that “The Statue Got Me High” was not about a statue getting someone stoned.

Most bands skip the wind tunnel test, but TMBG take that extra step.

I just saw this video for the first time, nearly 20 years after the fact (well, I was born a year after the album’s release) and was immensely entertained and, um, educated. I could never choose a favorite TMBG album, but this one is spectacular. I nearly died at the “tonight is the nighttime” song…

@Kinwish It’s OK, I think TMBG has had to go through that explanation quote a few times as well.

And this is probably their best album. That or flood, but flood didn’t quite harness the “quantity” power sphere as well as Apollo 18.
